In the last few days, Google rolled out an update to their search algorithm that they are calling Panda 4.0, which means you’ll begin seeing some big changes in a wide variety of search engine results pages (SERPS) in upcoming weeks.

Panda will target what Google considers “low quality” or “thin” websites that offer duplicate or irrelevant content, and move those websites down in the SERPS. While this may sound like a bad thing, these updates are actually good for our clients! Here at Epic, one of our top priorities is making sure our clients’ websites have unique, relevant content that is updated frequently. We follow all of Google’s high-quality site guidelines to ensure high website performance for our clients as Google makes changes to their algorithm.

If you’d like more information about the specific changes made to Google’s search algorithm, see Moz’s article, Panda 4.0 and Ebay’s Very Bad Day.
